Animals are very popular among the children. Many of us have an animal at home, but does anyone know how to care for it? In this project we want to realize children that having a pet involves responsibility and work that can not be neglected. Besides, we learn many interesting facts about animals and what they need for a happy life by our side.
Aims:
1. Get to know children from sister school. Support international cooperation and communication in between partners. Develop responsibilities to cooperate long distance.
2. Get better in communication in english language.
3. Perfecting usage of ICT.
4. Get to know the main requirements for the animals.
5. Develop imagination of children (crossword about animals).
6. Get to know employment position associated with animals (vet).
7. To recognize different animals after their voice.
8. To meet the construction and manner of eating a cat, dog, guinea pig, horse, and the importance of these animals for human life.
Work process:
1. Get to know another Polish children from school and children from United Kingdom: a class digital album (children will get photographs and make voice recording – they will introduce themselves in english language and say which animals they like the most and what animals they have in their houses; they can add a photo or draw their favourite). Children will create presentation using the Power Point programme.
2. Children will visit kennels.The teacher will give them a lecture about how to care for animals, where we can call when some animal need help etc.
3. Children will make animals using different materials for example: cans, tops from bottles, etc. They will make notes and photos
4. Children from Poland will make questions for a questionnaire which asked them to vet.
5. Every partners will creation the "Encyclopedia of Animals" includes drawings, pictures of animals, information on how to take care of them, the signatures of the animals and simple guidelines in English.
6. Children from Poland will gather needed items for a kennels to help animals survive the winter.
7. Final Both schools summary their material, selection, review photos and notes.
Expected results:
We expect that children will gain bigger motivation and positive relationship for education under influence of parnership from abroad.We believe the learninf will be for children fun. Also we expect that project will sensitized to the needs of animals. It gives them an opportunity for personal expression and understanding the world they live in. We expect also that this project will enrich teachers ICT and language skills.
